To qualify, you must currently be participating in a governement assistance program and live in the AT&T or Verizon service areas of Florida, Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, or Kentucky.

Qualifying government assistance programs include:
  • Medicaid
  • Food Stamps
  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families / AFDC (TANF)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing (Section 8)
  • Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • State Means Test (OPC or TRA Certified) (not valid in Alabama)
  • National School Lunch's Free Lunch Program (NSL) (not valid in Alabama or Texas)
If you qualify, we'll ask you to fill out the certification form (links at left) and mail or fax it to us.

Texas customers must certify with the Texas PUC appointed Low Income Discount Administrator (LIDA) using the LITE-UP form (form must be filed with LITE-UP Texas as per instructions on the form).

Once we receive the signed form with the appropriate documentation, or, for Texas customers received notification from the LIDA, we'll put you on our assistance program and you're monthly bill for basic service in Florida (Verizon) and Texas (AT&T) will be just $16.49 plus applicable taxes and fees. Texas (Verizon) rates start at $18.49 per month, and AT&T areas of Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky starts at $19.99 per month.
